My story
I didn’t set out to work with small businesses. I’m glad I do.
I cut my teeth in paid search at the other end of the spectrum — running Google Ads for Fortune 500 brands like Sprint and Boost Mobile, where the budgets were enormous and the standards were higher. Over the years I’ve managed multi-millions of dollars in monthly ad spend, been featured in places like HubSpot and Inc., spoken at Digital Summit, and ended up on more than 100 podcasts talking about what actually works in Google Ads.
But the thing that stuck with me was never the big budgets. It was watching how badly small and local businesses get treated by the agency world: junior staff learning on their accounts, percentage fees that punish them for growing, set-and-forget campaigns, and reports full of metrics that don’t mean anything. The same discipline that made enterprise campaigns work was almost never reaching the businesses where every single dollar counts the most.
So I went independent. No agency overhead, no account managers, no markup — just me, bringing enterprise-level paid search to small and service businesses, and telling them the honest truth about what’s working and what isn’t.
